RF900 Fiber Optic Fence Detection

The RF900 is a Dual-zone Fiber Optic Intrusion Detection System designed to detect intrusions into the perimeters and borders on the basis of the principle of M-Z laser interference. It adopts optical fiber vibration sensing technology, to detect and notify any intrusion attempt such as climbing, cutting sabotage the fence or disassembles the system.

Product Description

Fiber Optic Fence Detection

Site security managers are challenged to protect their assets from an ever-increasing number of threats that require fast, accurate real-time notification of perimeter security breaches.
These Fiber optic fence detection range from 50 meters to more than 500 kilometers, but require the same level of protection, high probability of detection and minimal disruptive alerts, with a focus on reliability and integration capabilities.
Raycom offers a full range of perimeter intrusion detection products to fit every site.

Fiber Optic Fence Detection can be installed along fences or perimeters and can detect, identify and report any movement. The system has an unlimited range of applications and can be installed anywhere from explosives storage areas to farms and ranches. Fast processing speeds and pulse rates allow the fiber optic system to detect minute disturbances that might otherwise go unnoticed. Some examples of detectable activations include intruders moving along perimeters, intruders cutting or climbing fences, vehicles moving along perimeters, and digging, excavating, or trenching.Fiber Optic Fence Detection is critical to ensuring the safety and protection of valuable assets.

How it works

By combining Rayleigh backscatter and time-of-flight, Raycom fiber optic fence detection determines the presence, location, intensity and frequency of vibrations on a fiber in real time.
Signal analysis software enables fiber optic fence detection to quickly identify the most likely source of vibration and report any false signals to security personnel without having to notify intruders of its findings.
The location of the vibration is determined by a "time-of-flight" calculation. The fast clock starts when the system fires a laser pulse. When the backscattered light returns to the detector, it is recorded for further analysis and timestamped. Since the speed of light within the fiber is constant, the timestamp corresponds to the distance on the fiber.
